The specificities of Royat-Chamalières

The Thermes of Royat propose two therapeutic indications :

• the cardiovascular diseases, including the arteritis of the lower limbs and the Raynaud phenomenom (such as the sclerodermy),

• The rheumatology, mainly arthritis, osteo-articular trauma scarsles et la fibromyalgia

The thermal establishment proposes many cares : thermal mud applications, sub-cutaneous thermal gaz injections, mobilizing pool, upstream walking lane in thermal water, baths with immerged shower, thermal steam shower…

Rich of a know-how drawn from a long thermal tradition, the Thermes of Royat propose the packages "Classic thermal cure ","Discovery cure"or "Health week" .

The « classic » thermal cures : efficient treatments for a reborn health.
The thermal package includes 4 daily thermal cares prescribed by the thermal physician in the case of a unique therapeutic orientation (cardiovascular disease or rheumatology) and 6 daily thermal cares in the case of a double orientation (cardiovascular disease and rheumatology) for a period of 18 days.

The "discovery" cure : it’s up to you !
Packages which duration can vary according to your selection, one or several cares per day depending on your wishes and medical prescription.
It will allow you to enjoy and discover all the benefits of the thermal resource of Royat-Chamalières.

The "Health week": an « initiation » to thermalism - 6 days - 4 thermal cares per day
It is indeed a short-term medical cure. At the time of the medical consultation, the thermal physician will determine with you which cares are the most suitable and will propose a prescription adapted to your specific case.

The package Walking rehabilitation
This package constitutes an adapted answer for people with arteritis who do not have the necessary time for a classic 3-week cure.
It can be considered as a true vascular readaptation program.

All these packages must follow a consultation with a thermal physician from the Spa station (Except for the traditional cure, and unless there is an agreement beforehand, no coverage can be obtained from the medical insurance).

Useful information and reservation for your next thermal stay

SEASON 2009 : The Thermes of Royat are opened from Monday thru Saturday from April 6 until October 17 (no care on Sundays).

The Thermes are opened during the holidays, included May 1.
All thermal cares are provided in the morning.
The Thermes will provide the daily laundry for your cares. Except for personal items, only bring shoes (like pool sandals), two swim suits and a swimming cap.

To know : Available on location at the shop of the Thermes, you will be able to get all the necessary products to conduct your cure in its best conditions.
